Getting it down on paper
Newness.
I’ve been working on something new. Focusing on listening to what’s inside rather than to make a finished image. Not entirely sure where this one came from but I loved the process of making it and I can’t wait to see what comes next
Painting edges this morning. I find editing out the mess on the sides of the canvas really helps me to see the work in a new light. Kinda love this one. Some sneaky peeks in the carousel. Will photograph her properly later this week, ready to go on m
End of day studio view. Three works in progress. Can’t wait to get back in there.
Had an unexpected and unexpectedly lovely day in the studio today. Thinking a lot about the the book I’m reading, Bittersweet. And about what it is to miss a time, or a person, or a place you know you can’t return to.
Lots of hours and heaven knows how many layers later, I’m stopping for today. She’s hanging in the kitchen now, while we both have a well deserved rest. I intend to side-eye her all evening.

Sometimes, they say, you should show your face on Instagram. So here it is! It’s been a few weeks, and there’s lots to share. We had a really beautiful trip to Paris a couple of weeks back to see my love @reenasgoodwin and make a pilgrima

24x30 inches of pure summer. Really feeling the heat in the studio this week, and it’s coming out on the canvas. I love it at this stage, but I’m really tempted to get some darks in there. What do you think?
It feels really, really good to be using oils again. A new 24x24 in drying in the studio.
